Frequently asked questions
What grades is Kids Python for?
Grades 3 through 9. The AI tutor adapts explanations to your child's grade level.
Does my child need prior coding experience?
No. Beginner assumes no prior Python or programming background.
Can we try it before buying?
Yes. Every level includes a free introduction plus chapters 1 and 2.
What will my child learn?
Real Python—variables, loops, functions, data structures, and projects—through lessons, Code Quest puzzles, quizzes, exercises, and the Run Playground.
What is Code Quest?
Code Quest is a fill-in puzzle game inside Kids Python. Kids complete short Python programs by placing code tiles (or typing in Hard type-in mode), then tap Check. Puzzles match Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced chapter topics—open a level and tap the Code Quest banner, or the puzzle icon in Exercises.
Can kids run Python code in the app?
Yes. The Run Playground is built into exercises and the AI tutor. Students write code, tap Run, and see output (or helpful errors) right away—so they learn by doing, not only by reading.
Are there achievement badges?
Yes. When signed in, learners unlock badges such as First Run!, First Exercise!, Quiz Whiz, Code Quest Starter!, and Certificate Star. Tap the trophy icon in the app to open My Achievements and track progress.
What are the collectible trading cards?
Every badge your child earns turns into a playful, full-art collectible trading card—each with its own creature, energy type, two special abilities, an HP number, and a rarity from Common to Legendary. Tap any earned badge in the app to flip open its card and see the whole collection grow.
Do students get a certificate when they finish?
Yes. After you purchase a level, your child can earn a certificate by scoring 100% on every chapter quiz in that book. They choose the name printed on the certificate, then can download or print it as a PDF.
